The general overseer of Wings of Blessings African Church known as James Mugo has reportedly landed in hospital after he was allegedly beaten up by members of his church.
According to reports, trouble started during the New Year eve service when Mugo, a known cleric allegedly demanded for KSH 4200 (approximately ₦16,000) from every member of the church to offer prayers to God for them to unlock the New Year’s Blessings.
The clergy man purportedly threatened that failure to donate the money, the members will be cursed not to receive any blessing in this year.
This was the begining of the spring of anger that uproared amongst the members which resulted in a hot exchange of vurgal word before resulting in a mob beating of the general overseer.
The attack has currently landed the pastor in a hospital in Emba, a municipal in Kenya, after sustaining serious injuries.
While Nigeria is having issues of “Sensational Pastors”, Kenya has not been left out in this menace in the name of religion and faith.
Now, I begin to wonder if religion as said by the scientist is the beginning of crisis in the world today or this is just an issue of a bad egg among good eggs.
